We wish all our friends from blogspot, and followers a lovely and beautiful Christmas time.
Enjoy the snow, enjoy people you love and don't forget people who live alone, or are hospitalised.
Children who are in pain, or do not have a warm home to go to. They will love it to spent Christmas with your families.
If you have something to give.. it divides your happiness! A smile , a present, time to give or just listen to a lonely person.Every person has something to offer, small or big... rich or poor, we all have something beautiful.
So enjoy this time of year and we wish you a healthy and lovely 2010.
Christmas allways is a time of eating more than you are used to. We eat candies, turkey or just nice things you like. To me, personally I allow myself chocolate truffles with champaign or just truffles on a milk chocolate base. So , because I really must loose some weight, I made some Candies and chocolate truffle soap with raspberries. Not feeling guilty ........ now....
Have an wonderfull happy and blessed holidays. This little poem is for you all!
"Keep whispering your heart dreams, because you never know when,
Reading this name for a fragrance oil, was a great gift.Ofcourse there are tremendous good scentmakers in this world. But surprisingly, this one is real like you want to eat it. Eatible, adorable and sellable. You can describe it as : nuts, cream caramel, butter, and hints of honey en slightly roasted peanuts. Real Cold Process made this time.
We love this time of year. Today we have Saint Nicolas who will be staying here for a while to give the children presents. ( similar to Santa Clause). A nice tradition a family matter.
We allready made some christmas soaps, with lovely scents as : cranberries, vanilla, honey and nice woody scents with cinnamon and apple. We wish you a lovely Saint Nicolas and we continue with the christmas products.
This brandnew whipped coconut cream is lovely made with almond oil, coconut oil, cocoabutter, emulsifying wax , and stearic acid. Also I put some lovely flavours in it, a combination of lavender and bergamot. Not only a silky feeling on the skin, but great smell for this summer!
Secondly I made some garden bouquets for fun and customers to giveaway.
During the last weeks I have been preparing some diverse things: smelling bags with lavender and rose petals. It brings summer so near to you :) Next week we will be having a fair on the farm so, then we will need them to smell and sell. But also ofcourse the traditional soaps who allways are favourite items for our clients.
The Stéphanie soaps are selling nicely! But it could be better.. so I started to make some summer soap like strawberry. Really love the smell of it. The vanilla cream drizzle on top is also smelling nicely.
There was a customer who ordered in my shop. She gave her website adress so I had a look at it. It appeared she had been given a new lung thrue transplantation. Again I felt so lucky , I only have astma and COPD lung problems, but I am much older. So I decided to send her this order freely and we both invented a sponsor soap to realize her plans to go to Australia as a topsport woman! The soap is nicely perfumed with fresh linnen and fragrant cream!Coloured by natural rose clay.
The Donorsoap is in the shop at this moment. So, Stéphanie, I hope we will sell them in a large scale. Stéphanie: YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!
Dear followers, and other dear people, Yesterday there was some kind of spring in the air. Not so overwhelming, but anyway nice and we must be gratefull every day brings us.So I longed for flavours as raspberry and pears, melons. This is what turned out : Raspearry Fizzies. You put them in your tube, or if you don't have one, can use it as footbath as well. They fizz all over and you smell the lovely fruits! They are coloured with natural green and rose clay. The topping is the raspberry.
My mother , she is 75, loves this woman. She is amazing, in her role as "Hyacinth". This soap was inspired by her and smells lovely with hyacinths notes and some lovely Stephanotis ( which is a bridal flower).
It became a classical soap with some grace i think. Lots of sheabutter and coconut oil.Coloured with natural annato powder and ci 7007 ( ultramarin Violet)
The lovely customer this time wanted a rosemary soap. It had to be made hot processed, because she wants to sell them and not wait 6 weeks to cure. The blend suceeded gratefully with rosemary, litsea, peppermint, lavender and elemi ( essential oils).
The colour was not so good, mixing green natural clay with chlorofyll, but it was cheerfull enough.
The customer made this lovely picture and cutted the soap ( which came as a loaf) herself! We think she did a great job!
Today was again a lovely day: Sonja 's Seifenkiste and I had a trade again. Soaps and Swiss mountain cheese for soaps :)
Well these lovely soaps are made by Sonja and they look and smell heavenly. I feel so lucky with these beautiful presents. If you want to know why the cheese is not on the photo... you can try to guess.... and it is not the fridge !Thank you so much, dearest Sonja, for our trade and the melt in the middle is incredible.
Today I came along the word : "drivers". These are a main component of a computer. Without the drivers, the computer hasn't got any clue how to think and how to be active at all. While I was making this soap today, ( Framboisy)
I felt so gratefull to have so many drivers ( customers)and especially fellow soapmakers, who appreciate the handmade art we try to create. How lucky a person can be, when other soapmakers react or simply send you a nice mail. And also customers who apparently are satisfied enough to give their words of thankfullness. How lucky am I to have these drivers: to create and to share is an awsome thing!
Today I unmoulded the soap for my customer. It allways is great fun. Normally my dear customer wants to cut the soap herself, but today we had contact and I had the honor. Well that was really nice of her..I expected worse from the inside because of the quick working with the heaps of cocoabutter.
I think these soaps are one of the most beautiful there are on this planet! There are 4 goatmilk soaps and one without. They are beautifully packed and smell like you're in heaven. Well, I hope heaven will have them, otherwise I am in trouble.
These are my experiences with the soaps:Vovacia, the purple one ( on the right) has many bubbles and creamy leather. It feels like you're walking in the clouds
The Berrylicious smells like many fruits, but the apple plays the main part :) Many bubbles and feels great on the skin.
The Lemon soapsmells like little lemon with a fine fresh top of lime i guess.
The Yummersmells like butterscotch, but not overwhelming and has great creamy swirls in it.The Floral Essence soap ( with the roses) has patchouli in it, and some hints of flowers. But it is a robuste soap ( could also be for men)!
Well I am enjoying every minute in the shower. So take a look at Platypus dreams!
Sometimes colours and perfume oil blends come surprisingly. Knowing that yellow and blue becomes green, we don't have all the answers. This has to become a blueberries soap. Lovely fragrances of blueberries, blackberries, mango, vanilla bean and strawberries. On top i put some moonseed just for fun on the hills...
In the kitchen, there is allways room for herbs. For instance basil, rosemary and lovely thyme. They give not only taste to your food, but can help you when you are having flue. Nature gives us so many exclusive plants and why not make a rosemary/thyme soap, full of fresh ( saponified) herbs , and lovely essential oils in it.
2 weeks ago a nice client of mine wanted to have some natural soaps with diverse blends of essential oils. One of the soaps also nicely with fresh biological goat milk ( which I buy here at the Farm nearby). So she made these lovely pictures from the products I delivered. She is really a great photographer! ( photographs: Jolanda M.)Lots of luck with your lovely Shop Jolanda!
Recently I have been asked by a very nice shop named Applepiepussy , to develop an applepie soap. So I ordered my favourite scents at my favourite places and made this cake for them.Mariko, from Applepie Pussy, she made this nice photo which was used on their shop. For handcrafted goodies and lovely surprises for Valentine, you can pay a visit to their shop.
The smell of lavenderbuds is very calming and relaxing. The magic of these little flowers, is allways present.
Unfortunately, they will turn into brown colour when putting it in the mould. Only some on the topping will have their lovely colour.Cornflowers I did not try in the soap yet. These have a lovely bright blue colour, as a topping. I use them in my goat milk soaps, with some nice lilac odour.
